Free bet min odds and qualifying bets: what actually counts
Most welcome offers read as simple: bet £5, get free bets. The catch is the small print on what counts as the qualifying bet. Miss one condition and the free bets never arrive.
1. Minimum odds
The qualifying bet must be at or above a minimum price. A common one is evens (2.0 decimal). Betting at 4/6 on a favourite would not count, even with the right stake. Check the price at the moment you place the bet.
2. Bet types that are excluded
Many offers exclude multiples with built-in singles. For example, the Paddy Power £5 offer in our tracker excludes Lucky 15, Lucky 31, Lucky 63, Yankee, Trixie, Patent, Canadian, Heinz, Super Heinz and Goliath. A plain single or accumulator is the safe choice.
3. Cash out, boosts and voids
Using cash out on the qualifying bet can make you ineligible. Boosted prices often do not count, and a bet that is void or unsettled will not trigger the reward. Let the bet settle, then wait for the free bets.
4. Payment method and timing
Some offers only count deposits by certain methods. E-wallets such as PayPal, Skrill and Neteller are commonly excluded. There is also usually a deadline, often 30 days from registration, to complete the qualifying bet, and the free bets themselves expire too.
