Rule 4
Tattersalls deduction from winnings when a horse is withdrawn after you took an early price.
Rule 4 cuts the winnings (not the stake) on bets struck at early or board prices when a runner is withdrawn too late for a new market. The cut is a set number of pence in the £ based on the withdrawn horse's price, from the standard Tattersalls table, capped at 75p when several go.
Worked example
£10 at 5/1 when a 5/2 shot is withdrawn → 25p Rule 4. Profit £50 becomes £37.50; return £47.50.
